My Crazy 2 Year Old

Mason turned two! On the morning of his birthday I hung streamers from his door, he woke up and pointed to them and started talking all about them. I let him out of his crib and he wouldn't walk through them at first, he ducked under them a few times before I walked with him through them. He thought it was really funny and giggled everytime after that.

We took him to Rocket Donuts for his breakfast, Melissa was still here and we met up with Nana, Pop Pop, Brianne and her girls.  Mason loved eating his donut, he went through it so fast we got him a second which he ate almost all of.

After eating we went on a walk down Boulevard to the playground where the kids got to play and run around, Mason loved it. We had to leave a little before the kids wanted to so we could drop Melissa off at the airport.

After Mason napped we went to JB and Debbie's where we we had a small family party for Mason.  We ate pizza, Mason could not have been happier.  We get him cheese-less pizza from Papa Murphy's and he could not eat it fast enough.  He calls it "putzi" and ate 3 normal human sized slices.

Mason did so much better than last year at opening presents and understood the concept enough to do it by himself. He loved all the gifts he got, but he definitely had a favorite, his baseball glove.

He was so exited when he opened it, he got a huge smile, pulled it out and knew exactly what to do with it. He calls it "catch it".  He put it on his hand right away and started hitting his fist inside the glove and wanted to play catch immediately.

He loved it so much and got so excited when he would actually catch the ball, which was more of the ball getting thrown right into his glove.

He also got a balance bike from Nana and Pop Pop.  He was really excited to put his helmet on and probably would have ridden it quicker, except to ride it you have to use two hands and it was a struggle to get him to take his glove off at all. We did get him to give up his glove for a little bit and he loved riding his bike.

We sang happy birthday to him and he even blew out one of his candles. He loved eating his cake, reading the books he got and playing with his new toys. Thanks to everyone who came and celebrated our special day with us!
