Mason and Paige update

Paige is now 3 months old, we don't have a doctor visit this month so I don't have stats but she looks and feels a lot bigger.
3 Month Comparison

She is starting to hold herself up better while standing and sitting, except she wants to lean forward while sitting so she ends up bent over. She will focus on toys that are in front of her and use her hands to grab them.  She also really likes to suck on her hands which makes her really slobbery.

Mason is such a good help as a big brother when she is upset.  He will come tell me, "P crying," or tell her, "It okay P, stop crying."

Mason got to go to the splash pad for the first time this year. It was really busy because it's been so hot. Once we found a parking spot, loaded up and walked over, Mason decided he didn't want to go in the water.  I had to convince him but he finally went in to the water and loved it.

Mason also had a surgery for one of his testicles that was filling with fluid and not draining on its own.  He did really well with the whole thing, was happy to watch movies during the recovery and was difficult to keep still so he wouldn't pop open his stitches.

Mason has also been sleeping without his binki for about a week now. We never thought this day would come but are so excited to see him growing up and getting older.  The only thing is that now in the morning when he's awake he won't sit in his crib for an extra half hour, instead he calls for us yelling either, "Mom...Mom...Mom," or "Dada come get me..." over and over.

We have been trying to spend a lot of time outside and play, especially in any water we can.

We've enjoyed being able to go to Christopher's softball games and play with friends there.  His friend Koa found a caterpillar pointed it out to Mason who immediately stomped on it.

We went to one of our church activities at Whatcom Falls park where Mason managed to find a glove and baseball...shocker. He carried them around the rest of the night, and was only able to give them up for a chance to see the waterfall.

We spent the 4th of July with Christopher's parents. We went hiking in the morning which was a lot of fun. Mason was so excited to finally ride in the pack he had seen in our house the whole week before, and we loved his commentary, telling us which trees had or hadn't fallen down.

We also got a chance to play on the slip and slide after Mason's nap.  He preferred when the water was down(or low) then he would crawl down the slide to the big puddle at the end where he would dive. It was a big hit and we will definitely be using it again this summer.

We finished off the night with dinner and lawn games.  We didn't do any fireworks but were able to show Mason some of the city fireworks on our drive home. We had a fun day and are having a great summer.
