Gobble-Gobble Day

For thanksgiving we went to Bellingham and got see some of the family, and a new addition.  We got to see Nana and Pop Pop of course, Gi Gi, Aunt Linda and Uncle Pete, and the Spinellis. Mason was good for a little bit but as you can tell he got tired pretty quick.

Then of course we got to see Grandma and Grandpa B. They had been waiting a long time and were so excited when they finally got to see him.  On the night that we went there I was so glad that he was happy most of the time we were there. He even sat and jabbered with Grandpa for a few minutes and smiled away at Grandma.  We took advantage of all the Burley boys being there to take a 4 generations picture.

Grandpa was so cute holding him with Christopher all the time whispering to Mason, "We love you, we love you."  He kept looking down at him; for every picture I had to remind Grandpa to look at me so I could take the picture.

We also got to spend a couple days with Kaylin and Lauren.  There was a lot of "Mom and Daughter" playing with Kaylin, book reading, tackling and tickling. Lauren even wanted to hold Mason quite a bit and would come over to me and say, "I want to hold her," it was cute. Christopher was a huge help by letting himself get dog-piled on a few times a day and even helped with washing the girl's hair at bath time.

For Thanksgiving day we went down to Renton and saw the new Stephen's baby, Ashton. She was so quiet compared to Mason, and sat most of the time in her chair.

She is going to love her older sisters when she gets big because they already love her so much and want to help all the time. Lauren made sure that she always had enough blankets on, we just made sure to pull them down off Ahton's face, Lauren must have thought it was cold because she kept covering it when she put the blankets on. By the time she was done collecting, Ashton had close to 7 blankets on. She will never have to worry about being cold with Lauren around.

For the table Kaylin made turkeys with our names on them to tell us where to sit. We had the best Thanksgiving meal, played some Turkey Bingo, and got to see a new baby.  Overall awesome Thanksgiving.

  1. Grandpa looks so happy in those pictures, it totally made me tear up. I'm glad he got his Burley great-grandson. We're so glad you guys were able to come for Thanksgiving! And thank you so much for the help with the girls, they had a great time with you guys! It was so fun to meet Mason, he is adorable! Also, you will be happy to know that Lauren has stopped putting blankets on Ashton :-).
